Aaina Dashboard Portal for Cities launched by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs

Goverment Scheme

AAINA Dashboard for Cities' portal www.aaina.gov.in has been made live by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) where urban local bodies (ULBs) across the country can participate in this pioneering initiative. The primary objective of the AAINA dashboard is to help cities (i) see how they are performing compared to other cities, (ii) motivate them by pointing out possibilities and areas for improvement and (iii) generate learnings. While not ranking ULBs, the AAINA dashboard will serve as a tool to compare similarly situated cities and promote peer learning between cities. The dashboard will organize the data submitted by ULBs into five broad pillars, namely based on indicators of (i) political and (ii) administrative structure, (iii) planning, (iv) citizen-centric governance and (v) delivery. ULBs will be free to update the information initially provided by them on the portal at any time as required. With active collaboration of all ULBs, 'AINA Dashboard for Cities' aims to create a robust database of key performance metrics of urban local bodies, which can be accessed by all stakeholders, and subsequently made public view Is.
