Tata Power appoints Deepesh Nanda as President, Renewables and CEO & MD of TPREL

Tata Power, one of India's largest integrated power companies, announced the appointment of Mr. Deepesh Nanda as President-Renewables and CEO & MD of subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL). 2023.An eminent leader in the energy sector, Mr. Nanda brings with him extensive experience of 28 years in companies such as GE, Flowserve and Tyco. Mr Nanda joins Tata Power from GE Gas Power, where he was Chief Executive Officer, South Asia, and oversaw operations in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Nepal. He was also president and CEO of GE's aero-derivative gas turbine business segment for Asia. A distinguished alumnus of India's Annamalai University, Mr. Nanda earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering. He studied MBA from Open University Business School, Milton Keynes, UK and received extensive leadership training at GE Crotonville. In his new role, Mr. Nanda will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of Tata Power's renewable energy portfolio, which includes solar, wind, hybrid and B2C green energy solutions. He will also lead innovation and digital transformation initiatives in the renewable energy sector.
