National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) to form a strategic partnership in disaster risk reduction. Rajendra Ratnu, Executive Director, NIDM, said that this partnership symbolizes the joint commitment to contribute to the national agenda of disaster risk reduction, reinforcing the importance of cooperation in building a resilient and secure India. The MOU will serve as a platform to formalize strategic partnership and facilitate research, capacity building and training. According to NIDM, currently 260 universities and institutions are part of the disaster risk reduction programme.
