For better security, India is developing its indigenous long-range air defense system 'Iron Dome' by 2028-2029 like Israel.

India is developing its own long-range air defense system called Project Kusha, similar to Israel's Iron Dome. The system, with a range of up to 350 kilometres, aims to protect against various threats and provide strategic and tactical coverage. While some experts question its necessity, India sees it as a vital asset amid regional security challenges, including potential missile threats from neighboring countries. The Israel–Hamas war has drawn significant attention to Israel's Iron Dome air defense system. Initially thought to be almost impenetrable, this sophisticated rocket defense system faced a stern test on October 7 when the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas fired a volley of nearly 5,000 rockets in just 20 minutes.
