Dr. Sujit Roy, co-founder of BrainAlive, received the NASA Impact Planet Award 2023 for his outstanding contributions to the Geospatial AI Foundation Model Project. Dr. Sujit Roy has over 10 years of R&D experience in machine learning and computational neuroscience at global research organizations such as NASA Impact and the University of Manchester. BrainAlive AI (BAAI) is an AI engine that transforms raw interaction data in real-time, leveraging data transformation approaches to transform user interactions into insights. Through technology, insights are evidence based and supported by reliable and quantitative research. Dr. Sujit Roy contributed to the project on behalf of NASA and the model was widely appreciated by the community. Additionally the fine-tuning workflow has been publicly released as an open source contribution to the global Earth science community through Hugging Face.
