Anganwadi Protocol for Children with Disabilities was launched by Smt. Smriti Irani, Union Minister of Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs. This program was organized to realize the commitment to strengthen overall access for better welfare of children with disabilities. The event was attended by senior officials from MoWCD, MoHFW, DEPwD, State WCD officers, CDPOs, Mahila Supervisors, Anganwadi workers and Asha workers and experts from key organizations like NIMHANS from across the country. The program also organized a panel discussion titled ā€œStrategies for Early Identification, Screening and Inclusion in Anganwadi Centreā€ which highlighted best practices. The national event concluded with Anganwadi workers (from Solapur, Maharashtra; Gurgaon, Haryana and Noida Uttar Pradesh) sharing their experiences of working with children with special disabilities to fulfill the collective responsibility of ensuring that no Even a disabled child should not be left behind.
