World Occupational Therapy Day is observed every year on October 27.
Important Days
World Occupational Therapy Day was established in 2010 to promote the profession. Since then, every October 27th there is an opportunity to learn more about the work of occupational therapists who help individuals live their best lives – at home, at work, and everywhere in between. This type of therapy is adapted to the needs of each person because it is about being able to carry out everyday tasks and activities that we usually call occupation. This year's theme is "Unity through Community". This theme promotes our role in working together with others to facilitate participation and community connections. As a profession, we collaborate with many groups and communities for the benefit of individuals and society as a whole. The theme and logo of World Occupational Therapy Day is available in multiple languages.
