Jharkhand cabinet approves electrification plan worth Rs 1485 crore

Jharkhand Cabinet approved Rs 1,485 crore electrification scheme and free training for 15 novice pilots at the proposed pilot training academy in Dumka. This approval was given in the meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The training of 15 students will cost the government exchequer around Rs 9.10 crore. "The training will be imparted in two phases. One phase will be conducted in Dumka, while the other will be conducted out of Jharkhand, as the Airbus pilot training facility is available only in Gurgaon and Noida," Singh said. A 1.25 km long flyover was also approved in the cabinet meeting in the capital Ranchi. It will connect Bahu Bazaar to Patel Chowk and will cost around Rs 213 crore. The Cabinet approved Rs 37.47 crore for the construction of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and also approved several amendments to run it on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
