QS Asia University Rankings 2024 India overtakes China and Japan with highest achievement in this field

The 2024 World University Rankings Asia is released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and includes 148 universities from India in the overall list of Asia, which lists a total of 856 universities. Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has topped the list with 40th rank, followed by IIT-Delhi at 46th and IIT-Madras at 53rd. Notably, 30 more colleges have been included in the ranking list as India had 118 universities in 2023 and 148 universities in 2024. Sectors are used with the help of 11 indicators to compile the ranking list. In India, IIT Bombay achieved 40th position in Asia Rankings, 149th position in QS World University Rankings 2024. IIT Bombay achieved the highest score of 100 and the lowest score (2.1) for faculty staff with PhD as the indicator.
