Tripura celebrated the 48th Kokborok Day (Tripuri Language Day) on January 19 to mark the recognition of Kokborok as an official language of the state in 1979. The day aims to promote and preserve the language and culture of the indigenous Tripuri people. Various cultural programs and literary events were organized across the state.
