The Indian Navy has commissioned "INS Imphal" (Pennant D68), a Project 15B Visakhapatnam-class stealth guided missile destroyer, at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. It is the first warship to be named after a city in Northeast India, paying tribute to the historical significance of Imphal, Manipur.
