The Union Cabinet has approved the "PM Electric Drive Revolution in Vehicle Transportation" (PM-eDrive) scheme to replace the FAME-II subsidy program. With an outlay of Rs 10,900 crore over two years, the scheme aims to support the adoption of electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and buses through upfront incentives.
