The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has officially declared the expansion of the Namdapha Biosphere Reserve in Arunachal Pradesh. The reserve now covers an additional 1,000 sq km, including critical corridors connecting it to the Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary. This move aims to protect the endangered Hoolock Gibbon and Clouded Leopard.
