Hyderabad-based space tech startup Skyroot Aerospace has successfully test-fired the Stage-1 solid rocket motor of its upcoming "Vikram-2" launch vehicle. The test was conducted at the ISRO propulsion complex in Mahendragiri. The engine, named "Kalam-1200", is the largest solid propulsion motor designed by an Indian private company.
