India observed its 76th Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, on 26 November 2025 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1949. On this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution, which came into effect on 26 January 1950. The President of India led the celebrations from the Central Hall of Parliament, reading the Preamble with the nation.
