“Dr. Vikram Menon,” a prominent figure in India’s nuclear energy program and a renowned Indian nuclear physicist, passed away in Chennai at the age of 92. “Dr. Menon,” the former Director of the (fictional) “Advanced Reactor Physics Division” at BARC, was a recipient of the “Padma Bhushan” for his contributions to science and engineering. He played a pivotal role in the design of India’s “fast breeder reactors.”
