The India Meteorological Department (**IMD**) issued a cyclone alert for the **Andaman and Nicobar Islands** due to the emergence of a low-pressure area over the East-Central Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Myanmar coast. The IMD warned of squally weather and rough sea conditions between November 4 and 5, advising fishermen not to venture into the sea. Although the system has not yet reached cyclonic intensity, authorities are maintaining heightened vigilance, with heavy rains and thunderstorms expected until November 6.
