3 Indians KP Singh Nandan Nilekani and Nikhil Kamath feature in Forbes Asia's 2023 Philanthropy Heroes list

Forbes has released its 17th annual list of philanthropists who donated generously last year and committed to the causes they love. The Forbes Asia list acknowledges individuals who donate from personal funds, showing their commitment to various causes, and three Indians – DLF's KP Singh, Infosys' Nandan Nilekani, and Zerodha's Nikhil Kamat – made the list this year. Made space. KP Singh: Chairman Emeritus of DLF came into limelight after raising $89 million by selling his remaining direct stake in the Delhi-based property developer. Nandan Nilekani: Infosys co-founder and chairman, recently donated $38 million to IIT Bombay, marking his 50 years of association with the institute. Nikhil Kamath: Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Zerodha joined the Giving Pledge in June. He is the fourth signatory from India. According to Forbes, Kamath has promised to address climate change, energy, education and health inequities. At 37, Kamath, who is India's youngest billionaire, is new to the list.
