BEE Introduces New ‘Content Creators & Influencers’ Category in National Energy Conservation Awards 2025.

In September 2025, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power (MoP), Government of India (GoI), introduced a new category under the National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA) 2025, targeting digital creators and influencers to spread awareness about energy conservation.

      - The awards will be presented by President of India, Droupadi Murmu, on December 14, 2025, in New Delhi, Delhi.

      - For the first time, digital creators and influencers are being recognized under NECA 2025 to amplify awareness on energy efficiency through their social media reach and creative content.

      - The initiative seeks to harness the influence of digital platforms in promoting energy-saving habits and sustainable living practices aligned with Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).

Main Point :-   (i) Participation is open to creators with a minimum of 10,000 followers or subscribers on any major social media platform, ensuring broad outreach.

      (ii) Participants must create original videos up to 90 seconds, in Hindi or any Indian language (with an English/Hindi transcript). Themes include energy-efficient practices such as setting ACs at 24°, using 5-star appliances, and sustainable celebrations.

(iii) Entries must be submitted via the official NECA portal and shared on social media using the hashtag #NECA2025, blending official recognition with public digital engagement.
