On September 7, 2025, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) launched the 'Namo Yuva Run' campaign in New Delhi, appointing Indian fitness icon Milind Soman as its brand ambassador. The initiative aims to promote fitness and social awareness among India’s youth.
- The 'Namo Yuva Run' campaign was officially inaugurated in New Delhi, Delhi, with the presence of key dignitaries including Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS), and Tejaswi Surya, Member of Parliament (MP). Milind Soman was appointed as the campaign ambassador to inspire and engage youth participation.
- Scheduled for September 21, 2025, the campaign will be conducted across 75 cities in India. It targets participation from one million youths, encouraging large-scale community involvement and spreading the message of fitness and social awareness across the country.
Main Point :- (i) The campaign theme, 'Nasha Mukt Bharat' (Drug-Free India), emphasizes the importance of preventing substance abuse among the youth. The initiative supports national efforts to build awareness about the dangers of addiction while promoting physical and mental well-being.
(ii) The campaign is part of the celebrations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday on September 17, 2025.
(iii) Milind Soman, a renowned Indian fitness icon, serves as the face of the campaign. His appointment aims to inspire youth participation, leveraging his public influence to encourage healthy lifestyles, drug-free living, and active engagement in socially responsible activities nationwide.
