1st ever Naga Mircha (Naga King Chilli) Festival 2022 was organised at Seiyhama Village under Kohima district in Nagaland. The festival was sponsored by the Department of Horticulture. Seiyhama produces Naga Mircha which is of good quality. The Horticulture Department picked the Botsa block as a focus area for Naga Mircha cultivation covering approx 100 hectares. Naga Mircha was the first product to receive a GI tag from Nagaland.
