Renowned Indian actress and model Shefali Jariwala, best known as the “Kaanta Laga Girl”, passed away on June 27, 2025, at her home in Mumbai’s Andheri. She was 42 years old, with initial reports indicating a sudden cardiac arrest—no foul play is suspected.
- That evening, Shefali experienced a sudden heart attack and was swiftly taken by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and others to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital. Tragically, she was pronounced brought dead on arrival. Police were alerted, and her body was sent to Cooper Hospital for a mandatory post-mortem.
- Preliminary police reports suggest that she had taken her regular medication and received an anti-ageing injection, possibly on an empty stomach, which may have triggered a severe blood-pressure drop leading to cardiac arrest. Drugs are not suspected in the incident.
