Assam CM Unveils 'Mukhya Mantrir Jiban Anuprerana' Scheme to Support Research Scholars.

In June 2025, Assam Chief Minister (CM) Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the Mukhya Mantrir Jiban Anuprerana Scheme during an event held at Lok Sewa Bhawan in Guwahati, Assam. The scheme is designed to empower research scholars across the state by offering one-time financial assistance, with special emphasis on Divyang (differently-abled) scholars, aiming to foster a new era of research and development in Assam.


      - Under the Mukhya Mantrir Jiban Anuprerana Scheme, full-time research scholars will receive ₹25,000, while Divyang (differently-abled) scholars will be granted ₹40,000 as one-time financial assistance.

      - The scheme is applicable to permanent residents of Assam pursuing research in public institutions, including both state and central universities.

      - It aims to support scholars in completing their research without financial stress, thereby boosting research output and improving their employment prospects in academic institutions.

Main Point :-   (i) CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also launched the Swagata Satirtha Portal, designed to streamline the transfer process for government employees, making it more efficient, transparent, and time-bound.

      (ii) Over 9,004 Grade III and IV employees have already benefited from the portal, which facilitates mutual transfers to enhance convenience and boost overall productivity in government services.
