World Brain Tumor Day (WBTD) is observed annually on June 8 across the globe to raise awareness about brain tumors, highlight their impact on individuals and families, and emphasize the importance of early diagnosis, timely treatment, and research.


      - The theme for WBTD 2025 is “Brain Health for All Ages”, which promotes awareness and proactive neurological care from childhood to old age.

      - The Grey Ribbon is the official symbol representing Brain Tumors and Brain Cancers, signifying solidarity and hope for those affected.

      - The International Brain Tumour Awareness Week (IBTAW), organized by the International Brain Tumour Alliance (IBTA) based in London, United Kingdom (UK), will observe its 18th edition from 25th October to 1st November 2025.

Main Point :-   (i) World Brain Tumor Day was first established in 2000 by the Deutsche Hirntumorhilfe e.V. (German Brain Tumor Association), a non-profit organization based in Leipzig, Germany.

      (ii) Since its inception, June 8 has been globally recognized every year to support those impacted by brain tumors and to enhance healthcare systems for better diagnosis and treatment.

(iii) Brain Tumour Awareness Month (BTAM) is observed in May to promote awareness, encourage research, and support patients and their families coping with brain tumors.
