Paris Saint-Germain Clinches Historic First UEFA Champions League Title.

In May 2025, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) from Paris, France, won their first-ever UEFA Champions League (UCL) title by defeating Italy’s Inter Milan with a commanding 5-0 victory in the final at Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany.


      - This victory set the record for the largest winning margin in a Champions League final since the tournament began in 1955.

     

     

Main Point :-   (i) The 2024-25 season marked the 70th edition of Europe’s premier club football competition and the 33rd since it was rebranded from the European Champion Clubs' Cup to the UEFA Champions League in 1992. PSG’s 19-year-old midfielder, Desire Doue, was instrumental, scoring two goals and assisting Achraf Hakimi’s opener early in the match.

      (ii) PSG was led by Head Coach Luis Enrique, who secured his second Champions League title, having previously won with Barcelona in 2015. With this triumph, PSG became only the second French club to win the UEFA Champions League, after Olympique de Marseille’s victory in 1993.
