PM Narendra Modi Embarks on 2-Day Visit to Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar & Uttar Pradesh and Unveils Key Development Projects and Agricultural Initiatives.

Prime Minister (PM) of India Narendra Modi embarked on a two-day visit on 29th and 30th May 2025 to the states of Sikkim, West Bengal (WB), Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh (UP), during which he inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several significant development initiatives.
- During this visit, PM Modi also virtually launched the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, describing it as a major initiative to strengthen India’s agricultural ecosystem and empower farmers.
- PM Modi virtually addressed the ‘Sikkim@50’ celebrations via videoconferencing, marking 50 years of Sikkim’s statehood (since May 16, 1975), and applauded the state’s growth and progress over the past five decades.
- PM laid the foundation stone for the City Gas Distribution (CGD) project in the Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districts of WB. The CGD project involves an investment of over Rs 1,010 crore in Alipurduar to facilitate Piped Natural Gas (PNG) supply.
Main Point :- (i) PM inaugurated the newly constructed terminal building of the Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna.
(ii) He also laid the foundation stone for a new Civil Enclave at Bihta Air Force Station, located around 35 km from Patna.
(iii) In Kanpur, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 15 key infrastructure projects worth about Rs 47,600 crore, covering sectors such as transportation, urban development, and energy.
