Anil Kumble Named Karnataka’s Forest and Wildlife Ambassador.
Appointment
In May 2025, former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble was appointed as the Brand Ambassador for the Karnataka Forest and Wildlife Department.
- The appointment aims to promote public awareness regarding forest conservation, development, tree preservation, and wildlife protection in the state.
Main Point :- (i) The announcement was made by Eshwar B Khandre, Karnataka’s Minister of Forest, Ecology and Environment.
(ii) Notably, Anil Kumble had earlier served as the Vice-President of the Karnataka Wildlife Board, highlighting his long-standing association with environmental causes.
(iii) In a separate development, Dettol India, a leading germ protection brand headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, appointed MS Dhoni as the brand ambassador for its Dettol Soaps, Bodywash, and Handwash product range in May 2025.
