Vishwanath Karthikey Becomes the Youngest Indian to Conquer the Seven Summits Challenge.

In May 2025, Vishwanath Karthikey Padakanti, a 16-year-old mountaineer from Hyderabad, Telangana, made history by becoming the youngest Indian and the second youngest globally to complete the prestigious Seven Summits Challenge, which involves climbing the highest mountain on each of the seven continents.


      - With this remarkable achievement, Vishwanath broke the previous national record held by Kaamya Karthikeyan, who had completed the same challenge at the age of 17 in 2024. However, the global record still belongs to Jordan Romero from the United States, who completed the feat in 2011 at the age of 15.

(iii) His achievement not only brings pride to India but also highlights the potential of young Indian climbers on the global mountaineering stage, inspiring many others to pursue adventurous goals with determination and discipline.
