Test cricket is set to mark its 150th anniversary in March 2026, coinciding with the recent release of Test Cricket: A History by Tim Wigmore, published by London, United Kingdom (UK)-based Quercus.


      - The book provides a comprehensive narrative tracing the evolution of Test cricket since its inception in 1877.

      - It covers key moments, legendary players, and significant events that have shaped the longest and most traditional format of the sport across generations and around the world.

     

Main Point :-   (i) The book highlights both the on-field action and the broader social impact of Test cricket globally. It features exclusive interviews with cricket legends such as Sachin Tendulkar, Pat Cummins, Michael Holding, Muthiah Muralidaran, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Chappell, Dale Steyn, and Rahul Dravid.

      (ii) Spanning 35 chapters, the book weaves together important milestones, iconic players, and pivotal moments that have defined Test cricket’s rich history.
