India Tops Medal Tally at ISSF Junior World Cup 2025 in Suhl with 11 Medals.

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun 2025 (1st leg) recently concluded in Suhl, Germany, held from 19–27 May 2025. India emerged as the top-performing nation, securing a total of 11 medals—including 3 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze—followed by China, which finished with 4 medals.


      - The prestigious event saw participation from 638 shooters representing 59 countries, with India fielding the largest contingent of 57 shooters.

      - The second and final leg of the ISSF Junior World Cup 2025 is scheduled to be held in New Delhi, India, from 24 September to 2 October 2025.

     

Main Point :-   (i) Tejaswani Sawant, representing India, clinched the gold medal in the women's 25 metre pistol event, defeating Alina Nestsiarovich, who competed under the Individual Neutral Athletes (AIN) category.

      (ii) Kanak Budhwar of India secured gold in the women's 10 metre air pistol event, surpassing Anna Dulce of Moldova.

(iii) In the women's 10 metre air rifle event, Shambhavi Shravan Kshirsagar from India bagged the gold medal, while fellow Indian shooter Ojasvi Thakur claimed the silver medal.
