MoPPG&P Announces NAEG 2025, Honours 19 Initiatives Nationwide.

On May 27, 2025, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (MoPPG&P), Government of India, announced the ‘National Awards for e-Governance (NAeG) 2025’.


      - These awards aim to honor and promote excellence in the implementation of e-Governance initiatives across India.

      - The 22nd edition of NAeG features six award categories, with a newly introduced Gram Panchayats category to recognize grassroots-level digitization efforts.

     

Main Point :-   (i) The awards will be conferred during the 28th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG), to be held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on June 9–10, 2025.

      (ii) A total of 19 initiatives have been recognized under NAeG 2025, including 10 Gold Awards, 6 Silver Awards, and 3 Jury Awards.

(iii) The NAeG 2025 recognitions include a Trophy, a Certificate, and a monetary reward of Rs 10 lakh for Gold Awardees and Rs 5 lakh for Silver Awardees.
