NLC India Marks 69th Raising Day with Launch of Mascot 'Neyon' and New Milestones.

In May 2025, NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Coal (MoC), headquartered in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, commemorated its 69th Raising Day, celebrating nearly seven decades of contributions to India’s energy sector.
- As part of the celebrations, NLCIL unveiled its new mascot, ‘Neyon’, a lion symbolizing strength and progress.
- Neyon will represent NLCIL as its official brand ambassador, embodying the organization's core values and forward-looking vision.
- The event was led by Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NLCIL, and attended by former CMDs, senior officials, trade union representatives, association members, and employees.
Main Point :- (i) The CMD inaugurated a smart automatic sliding glass door at the corporate office. This new feature, equipped with sensor-based recognition, aims to streamline entry for employees and visitors.
(ii) A special book titled ‘The Guiding Light – NLCIL Ethics Book’ was released, encouraging employees to uphold ethical practices and integrity in their professional conduct.
(iii) NLCIL also announced an ambitious target to increase lignite production to over 100 Million Tonnes (MT) by 2030, nearly tripling its current output of 44 MT, as part of its long-term growth strategy.
