India’s Samtel Avionics and Malaysia’s ATSC Forge Strategic Partnership for RMAF Su-30MKM Fleet.

In May 2025, New Delhi (Delhi) based Samtel Avionics Limited partnered with Kuantan (Malaysia) based Aerospace Technology Systems Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (ATSC) to jointly support the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF)'s fleet, especially the Su-30MKM aircraft, with advanced avionics systems, repair and overhaul services, and post-sales support.


      - ATSC will serve as a Centre of Excellence (COE), while Samtel will provide cutting-edge technology and help develop local expertise.

      - This collaboration builds on Samtel’s earlier agreement with the RMAF in October 2024 to equip all 18 Su-30MKM jets with Multi-Function Displays (MFDs) and Head-Up Displays (HUDs).

     

Main Point :-   (i) The partnership focuses on delivering advanced avionics and Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) services.

      (ii) Under this agreement, ATSC and Samtel will jointly support the RMAF in Malaysia for repair, upgrade, technical services, and post-sales support related to aircraft display systems, avionics components, and automated test equipment for Su-30MKM and other RMAF aircraft.

(iii) Samtel will supply state-of-the-art avionics and display systems while facilitating local capability development through knowledge transfer and sustained collaboration.
