Henley & Partners 2025 Wealthiest Cities Report: Mumbai Leads India, New York Tops Global Rankings.

London-based Henley & Partners, together with wealth research company New World Wealth, released the 4th annual World’s Wealthiest Cities Report 2025.


      - According to the report, Mumbai (in Maharashtra, India) is the richest city in India, ranking 27th in the world with over 51,000 millionaires and 25 billionaires.

      - Mumbai, known as India’s financial capital, has seen a strong growth of 69% in the number of millionaires over the past 10 years.

      - The report also shows that the United States has the most millionaires, with 11 cities appearing in the top 50, and 4 of these cities are in the top 10.

Main Point :-   (i) New York City remains the richest city in the world, having 384,500 High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs).

      (ii) It is followed by the Bay Area (which includes San Francisco and Silicon Valley, USA) in second place, and Tokyo (Japan) in third. Tokyo is the wealthiest city in Asia.

(iii) This year, Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, entered the list for the first time, ranking 50th with 2,200 millionaires. Because of this, Auckland in New Zealand dropped out of the top 50 cities.
