CCI Approves Bajaj Group’s Rs. 24,180 Crore Allianz Stake Acquisition and Multiple Other Major Deals.

On May 20, 2025, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved several major proposals:


      - The CCI approved the Bajaj Group's proposal to acquire Allianz’s stakes in their insurance joint venture for Rs. 24,180 crore.

      - Approval was granted for the acquisition of majority shareholding and control in Nazara Technologies Limited by three entities: Axana Estates LLP, Plutus Wealth Management LLP, and Junomoneta Finsol Private Limited.

     

Main Point :-   (i) The CCI approved Singapore-based Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited’s proposed acquisition of a minority shareholding in Haldiram Snacks Food Private Limited through its subsidiary JongSong Investments Pte. Limited.

      (ii) The combined acquisition of Batlivala & Karani Securities Private Limited and Batlivala & Karani Finserv Private Limited by 360 ONE WAM Limited and its group entities was also approved by the commission.
