Forbes 2025: Cristiano Ronaldo Named Highest-Paid Athlete with USD 275 Million Earnings.

In May 2025, Forbes unveiled its annual list of the world's highest-paid athletes, naming Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo as the top earner. This marks his third consecutive year at the top and his fifth time overall.


      - Between May 2024 and May 2025, Ronaldo earned a staggering USD 275 million.

      - Out of this, USD 225 million came from on-field earnings, largely due to his contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. His off-field income, comprising endorsements, business ventures, and social media collaborations, was approximately USD 50 million.

     

Main Point :-   (i) Stephen Curry, basketball star from the United States, secured the second spot with total earnings of USD 156 million.

      (ii) British boxer Tyson Fury came third with earnings of USD 146 million.

(iii) Notably, this year’s list did not feature any female athletes, a first since 2019, and no Indian athletes made it into the top 50.
