MSCI May 2025 Review: Coromandel and Nykaa Included in Global Standard Index.

In May 2025, global index provider Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), based in New York, United States, announced its semi-annual index review, featuring the inclusion of two Indian companies—Coromandel International Limited and FSN E-Commerce Ventures Ltd (Nykaa)—in the MSCI Global Standard Index.


      - These changes will take effect after the close of trading on 30th May 2025.

      - Coromandel, an agrochemical giant headquartered in Secunderabad, Telangana, and Nykaa, a leading Mumbai-based beauty and fashion e-commerce company, have earned their place in the MSCI Global Standard Index.

     

Main Point :-   (i) Both firms have also been added to the MSCI India Domestic Index, underlining their growing significance in India’s equity market.

      (ii) Notably, no Indian firms were excluded from the MSCI Global Standard Index during this review.

(iii) The small-cap segment saw a major adjustment with 12 stocks added and 21 removed from the MSCI India Domestic Smallcap Index, reflecting a shift in market dynamics.
