In May 2025, Bengaluru-based Porter, an on-demand logistics platform, raised USD 200 million (approximately ₹1,700 crore) in a Series F funding round, making it India’s 3rd unicorn of 2025, after Netradyne and Juspay. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the logistics startup sector in India.

      - Porter aims to enhance urban logistics efficiency, focusing on supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and empowering gig economy workers. The company continues to expand its services to promote accessible and technology-driven transportation solutions.

      - The Series F funding was led by Kedaara Capital Investment Managers Limited, a Mumbai-based private equity firm, and Wellington Management Company, a global asset management firm headquartered in Boston, USA. This round featured both primary capital infusion and secondary share sales by existing shareholders.

      - The fresh capital will be used to expand Porter's operations to new cities, strengthen its technology infrastructure, and support over 1 million gig workers. These strategic goals aim to enhance the company's capabilities and extend its service reach across India and internationally.

Main Point :-   (i) Following this funding round, Porter’s valuation has reached between USD 1.1 billion and USD 1.2 billion, officially qualifying it as a unicorn—a privately held startup valued at over USD 1 billion.

(ii) A Series F funding round represents the sixth major capital raise for a startup. It typically occurs when a company has already secured funds through Series A to E rounds and seeks additional financing to support further growth, product expansion, or entry into new markets.

(iii) Porter was founded in 2014 by Pranav Goel, Uttam Digga (CEO), and Vikas Choudhary (Executive Vice Chairman), all graduates of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). The company offers intra-city logistics solutions including on-demand trucks, packers and movers, and enterprise logistics. It currently operates in 22 Indian cities, has a presence in two international markets, and serves over 30 lakh customers, engaging approximately 3 lakh gig workers monthly.
