      - The acquisition, valued at ₹107 crore, involves the purchase of 78.65 lakh equity shares at ₹136.04 per share from Hyderabad-based GOCL Corporation Limited, which is part of the Hinduja Group. The transaction is expected to be completed within two to three months, pending regulatory and corporate approvals.

      - This acquisition enhances AMSL's defence manufacturing capabilities, allowing the integration of high-energy materials into its product offerings, specifically in artillery, missile systems, and high-impact weaponry.

Main Point :-   (i) AMSL's strategy aims to position the company as a Tier-I Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for weapon systems, supporting India's 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative by providing indigenously developed defence solutions.

(ii) IDL Explosives, founded in 2010, has over 64 years of expertise in manufacturing bulk and packaged explosives.

(iii) The company has primarily served the mining and infrastructure sectors, furthering AMSL's goal to strengthen its position in the defence industry.
