Indian-Origin Tejpaul Bhatia Appointed as CEO of Axiom Space.

In April 2025, Axiom Space Inc., headquartered in Texas, United States of America (USA), recently appointed Tejpaul Bhatia, an executive of Indian origin, as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He replaces Dr. Kam Ghaffarian, co-founder and Executive Chairman of Axiom Space, who had served as interim CEO after Michael Suffredini transitioned to the company’s Board of Directors in August 2024.
- Tejpaul Bhatia, who previously held the role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), brings over two decades of experience in tech and business leadership. He has founded three investor-backed startups, two of which were successfully acquired.
- He joined Axiom Space in 2021 and has played a vital role in establishing global partnerships and pushing forward commercial space innovation.
Main Point :- (i) Under Tejpaul Bhatia leadership, Axiom Space plans to intensify investments in advanced space technologies, including spacesuits, orbital infrastructure, and microgravity research and manufacturing.
(ii) The upcoming Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) to the International Space Station (ISS) is scheduled for launch in May 2025, with Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla of the Indian Air Force (IAF) serving as the mission pilot.
