The United Nations (UN)'s International Delegate's Day is observed annually on 25th April across the globe to highlight the role of representatives and delegates of Member States to the UN.
The 25th April 2025 marks the 6th observance of International Delegate's Day.
Main Point :- (i) In April 2019, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) adopted the resolution A/RES/73/286, officially proclaiming 25 April as International Delegate's Day.
(ii) The first International Delegate's Day was celebrated on 25 April 2020.
(iii) The date commemorates the opening of the San Francisco Conference (also known as the UN Conference on International Organization) held on 25 April 1945.
