On April 21, 2025, the California, United States of America (USA)-based Goldman Environmental Foundation announced the recipients of the 36th Goldman Environmental Prize (2025), popularly known as the ‘Green Nobel Prize’, recognizing seven grassroots environmental activists for their exceptional efforts in protecting the environment across six inhabited continental regions.

Main Point :- (i) The 2025 Goldman Environmental Prize was conferred on 7 recipients from six geographical regions, acknowledging their impactful environmental activism at the grassroots level.
(ii) Batmunkh Luvsandash, a former electrical engineer from Mongolia, received the 2025 Goldman Environmental Prize for Asia for his significant contribution to environmental conservation.
