CREDAI Signed MoU with NSDC and QCI to Boost Skill Development and Promote Sustainability in Indian Real Estate Sector.

MOUs and Agreement

In April 2025, New Delhi-based Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) Recently Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Quality Council of India (QCI), Both Based in New Delhi, to Strengthen Workforce Skills and Sustainability in India’s Construction and Real Estate Sector.


      - The MoU was formalized during CREDAI’s leadership transition ceremony, where Shekhar G Patel officially assumed the role of President of CREDAI for the 2025–2027 term.

      - This strategic partnership aims to deliver industry-aligned training programs, support Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to validate existing skills, and foster sustainable employment opportunities through job placements and the adoption of modern construction practices, including green building technique

     

Main Point :-   (i) During the recent MoU signing event, CREDAI along with Canada-based Colliers (Toronto) jointly released a report titled ‘Sustainability in Real Estate: Towards a Greener Skyline’, showcasing India’s growing emphasis on sustainable practices in the real estate sector. The report highlights that approximately 66% of India’s Grade A office stock is now green-certified, with Hyderabad leading the way at 75% penetration.

      (ii) The report also sheds light on the industrial and logistics sector, where leasing in green-certified buildings witnessed a 20% rise in 2024, reaching an impressive 492 lakh square feet across six major Indian cities. This marks a significant shift towards environmentally responsible infrastructure in the country’s evolving real estate landscape.

(iii) CREDAI is India’s apex body of private real estate developers, representing over 13,000 members across 230 cities in 21 states, aiming to promote transparency, quality, and sustainable development while driving economic growth.
