TIME Unveils 2025 TIME100 List of the World’s Most Influential People; No Indian Included This Year.

In April 2025, New York (United States of America, USA)-based TIME, the 102-year-old global media organization, unveiled the 22nd edition of its annual "TIME100 Most Influential People 2025" list, celebrating individuals worldwide who have made a profound impact in areas such as politics, entertainment, science, and business over the past year. Notably, no Indian citizens were featured on the list this year.
- However, Indian-origin Reshma Kewalramani, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Boston, Massachusetts (USA)-based Vertex Pharmaceuticals Limited, was included in the 'Leaders' category for her leadership and contributions in the pharmaceutical sector.
- The TIME100 list is categorized into six sections: Leaders, Icons, Artists, Innovators, Pioneers, and Titans, highlighting diverse forms of influence.
Main Point :- (i) The 2025 edition of the TIME100 list was released with five international TIME covers, each spotlighting a standout personality from different categories. American actor Demi Moore was featured under the Icons category, while Serena Jameka Williams, the former American tennis champion and four-time Olympic gold medalist, appeared under Titans. The Innovators category highlighted Snoop Dogg, the renowned American rapper and entrepreneur. Celebrated British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran was featured under the Artists category. Lastly, Demis Hassabis, CEO of UK-based Google DeepMind, was featured under the Pioneers category.
(ii) Leon Marchand, a 22-year-old Olympic swimmer from France, is the youngest person featured this year under the Icons category.
(iii) Meanwhile, Muhammad Yunus, 84-year-old Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Chief Advisor of Bangladesh, is the oldest person on the list, appearing in the Leaders category.
