6th Edition of National Highways Excellence Awards 2024 Held in New Delhi.

In April 2025, the 6th edition of the 'National Highways Excellence Awards' (NHEA 2023), organized by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), was held at Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre, New Delhi.
- These awards aim to recognize professionals and organizations for excellence in the development, operation, and maintenance of National Highways across India.
- The event celebrated the achievements of officials, concessionaires, and contractors who demonstrated outstanding performance and innovative practices.
- The occasion was graced by Union Minister Nitin Jairam Gadkari, MoS Harsh Malhotra (MoRTH), Dr. V.K. Saraswat (Member, NITI Aayog), along with various other key stakeholders.
Main Point :- (i) Out of 125 nominations, 22 entries were shortlisted by a jury through a rigorous multi-level evaluation process. For the year 2023, awards were presented under five different categories, highlighting excellence in highway project implementation and quality.
(ii) Additionally, winners of the 'पथ चिंतन Hackathon' were felicitated during the event for presenting tech-driven, innovative ideas aimed at transforming India’s National Highway infrastructure.
