In April 2025, Mario Vargas Llosa, the Nobel Prize-winning Peruvian novelist and a towering figure in Latin American literature, passed away at the age of 89 in Lima, Peru, on 13th April 2025, surrounded by his family.


      - He was a prolific author and essayist, renowned for his celebrated novels such as The Time of the Hero (La Ciudad y los Perros) and The Feast of the Goat.

      - His literary contributions earned him global recognition, including the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2010, honoring his profound influence on modern storytelling and political thought.

      - Mario Vargas Llosa was born on March 28, 1936, in Arequipa, Peru, as Jorge Mario Pedro Vargas Llosa. His early life was marked by challenges, with his parents separating before his birth. Despite these beginnings, he pursued his passion for literature and journalism, which would later place him among the most influential literary voices of the 20th century.
