PM Narendra Modi Inaugurated Projects Worth Over ₹3,880 Crore During His Visit to Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, Including Varanasi.

In April 2025, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi visited Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Madhya Pradesh (MP), where he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth over ₹3,880 crore in Varanasi, UP.


      - These initiatives focused on enhancing infrastructure, electricity supply, education, healthcare, and sports facilities, aiming to strengthen connectivity and promote social welfare.

      - In MP, PM Narendra Modi undertook a spiritual visit to Anandpur Dham in Ashoknagar district, where he performed pooja at the Guru Ji Maharaj Temple in Isagarh, participated in a public program at Anandpur Dham, and addressed a public gathering.

     

Main Point :-   (i) The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several key road infrastructure projects in Varanasi, including a road bridge connecting the Varanasi Ring Road to Sarnath, flyovers at Bhikharipur and Manduadih crossings, and a highway underpass tunnel on National Highway 31 (NH-31) near Varanasi International Airport, with a combined worth of over ₹980 crore.

      (ii) The Prime Minister inaugurated two 400-kilovolt (kV) and one 220-kV transmission substations along with associated transmission lines in the Jaunpur, Chandauli, and Ghazipur districts of the Varanasi division, with a total value of over ₹1,045 crore.

(iii) He also laid the foundation stone for a 220-kV transmission substation at Chaukaghat in Varanasi, a 132-kV transmission substation in Ghazipur, and the augmentation of the electricity distribution system in Varanasi city, worth over ₹775 crore.
