In April 2025, Dadi Ratan Mohini, the Chief Administrator of Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, passed away at the age of 101 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She was born in 1925 in Hyderabad, Sindh (now in Pakistan).
- She was one of the most prominent spiritual figures in India and served as a guiding light for millions through her long-standing association with the Brahma Kumaris, which is recognised as the world's largest women-led spiritual organisation.
- She was the second chief of the Brahma Kumaris to reach the age of 100, following Dadi Janki, who passed away in 2020 at the age of 104.
- Dadi Ratan Mohini joined the Brahma Kumaris at the age of 13 in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, playing a key role in the organisation's global growth by promoting women's empowerment, youth development, and environmental protection. She became the Chief Administrator of Brahma Kumaris in 2021, following the passing of Dadi Hriday Mohini.
Main Point :- (i) Dadi Ratan Mohini led the youth wing for over four decades, inspiring young people to adopt spiritual and value-based living.
(ii) She represented the Brahma Kumaris at international forums, including the World Peace Conference in Japan (1954) and spiritual missions in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.
(iii) In 2014, Dadi Ratan Mohini was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate by Gulbarga University, Karnataka, for her contributions to society and spirituality, and in 2006, she led a 31,000 km youth march across India to promote value education, which was recognised in the Limca Book of Records.
