India Clinches 6 Medals at World Boxing Cup 2025 in Brazil and Hitesh Gulia Secures Gold.

The World Boxing Cup Brazil 2025, the first leg of the World Boxing Cup 2025, was held from 31st March to 5th April 2025 at Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, where India secured 6 medals and finished 2nd in the overall men's medal tally.
- Uzbekistan topped the overall men's medal tally with a total of 7 medals (5 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze), followed by India in second place with 6 medals (1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 4 Bronze), while Brazil stood third with 5 medals (2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze).
- The World Boxing Cup 2025 is organised by World Boxing (WB), a Switzerland-based global governing body for Olympic-style boxing. The tournament witnessed the participation of 130 male and female boxers from 19 countries.
- India was represented by a 10-member men's team, while the women’s team did not participate due to the ongoing 8th Elite Women National Boxing Championship in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh (UP).
Main Point :- (i) The tournament is being held in three legs across different countries — Brazil, Kazakhstan, and India.
(ii) Boxers will earn ranking points at each leg, which will determine qualification for the season-ending World Boxing Cup Finals.
(iii) The second leg will be hosted in Astana, Kazakhstan, from 30th June to 7th July 2025, while the finals will be held in New Delhi, India, from 15th to 22nd November 2025.
