In March 2025, the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) issued a notification regarding the revised wages under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) for the Financial Year 2025-26 (FY26). This notification was issued under sub-section (1) of Section 6 of MGNREGA, 2005.

  • - As per the notification, the daily wage for workers under MGNREGA has been increased from the existing ₹349 to ₹370 per person.
